Almighty God and Father, You are a restorer, a healer, and you can make whole what has been broken. I come to you at this moment because I need your help mending my relationship with _________(say the name/s)__________ . Abba Father, this has been weighing on me and I am troubled by our broken relationship. You know what has caused the rift between us; you see the conflict, and you know how this has negatively affected me.
Lord, I confess the part I played in the circumstances that led to our broken relationship and the part I might have played in preventing us from reconciling in the past. (Confess if necessary). Lord, I need your divine intervention to repair this relationship. Please uproot every bitterness, and remove all feelings of hurt, anger, and resentment. I pray you will replace hardened hearts with love, compassion, understanding, and forgiveness. Lord, as Joseph’s relationship with his brothers was restored after many years of separation because of betrayal, may I have the same experience with _________(say the name/s)__________.
Lord, please grant me the wisdom to navigate this process and the courage to take initiative in the reconciliation process if you prompt me to do so. My prayer is that you help me speak gently and with love, and that I not allow my negative emotions to rule over me. Lord, I submit my life to you and pray that you work as you see fit.
