Prayer for Uncertain Times

Psalm 31:24 Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.

Oh Lord and Father, you are a great God and a great King above all gods. Oh, how great is your love towards those who fear you. How pleasing to know that my days were ordained by you before I was conceived in my mother’s womb. Your understanding is so infinite, and your wisdom is incomprehensible.

Lord, even now, I cast all my anxieties, concerns, and troubling thoughts on you. Help me to find comfort in your promise, that you give strength to your people, and you bless us with peace. I exchange my worry for the joy of your Holy Spirit and your peace which surpasses all understanding. Help me see the beauty in this season. May my faith grow, and my endurance produces spiritual maturity.

Lord, help me rest in the truth that you have a plan for my life, even in times of uncertainty and when I struggle to understand how you are working. May my faith in you never waiver, and help me to trust that you are sovereign and all-knowing, which means that nothing catches you by surprise. Help me to be settled in my inner being because I know that You, the God who holds the depths of the earth in his hands, is for me, and you are working in my present situation for my good. Lord, I want to rely confidently on you with all my heart, so please, help me not lean on my understanding or be discouraged by my circumstances. Instead, give me the power to stand firm on your word and not believe the lies of the enemy. I pray that my circumstances will never cause me to turn away from you and seek after other things. By your grace and power, I will not abandon my purpose in seasons of uncertainty, but I will abide in you and serve you with enthusiasm. I pray for all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace. Amen
