This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God. Genesis 6:9
Thank you, Lord, for taking me through another year. Thank you for sustaining me during all the hardships, fears, and disappointments in my life. I am grateful that despite everything going on in the world, I never lost my faith. There may have been times when I was low in spirit, but your grace sustained me. Thank you for being my rock, my shield and my hiding place. Thank you for blessing my family and providing for us.
Lord, as I begin a new year, I would like to exemplify the characteristics of godly men and women outlined in your written word. My desire is to grow in the grace and knowledge of my Lord Jesus Christ, and to mature in my faith.
In the same way Noah walked with you, I long for a deeper relationship with you. I pray that my life will also be marked by steadfast faith, godly fear, and favor. Give me an obedient heart, so that I respond to what you command with faith. Lord, help me to trust in you, even if instructions seem crazy or I have to stand alone. Just as Noah labored to build the ark and complete his assignment, stir up that same perseverance and drive in me to fulfil my calling. I pray that my life bears fruit as I grow in wisdom, understanding, faith, and courage.
Lord, as in the days of Noah, when the earth was filled with sin and wickedness, but Noah was found righteous, empower me by your Holy Spirit to pursue righteousness and godliness in these evil times. I put to death everything in my life that opposes your precepts and will. Flood my heart with love, faith, hope, joy, patience and peace. In Jesus Name, Amen!
