Prayer of Affirmation and Declaration

Numbers 23:19 God is not a human who lies or a mortal who changes his mind. When he says something, he will do it; when he promises, he will fulfill it.

Father, I thank you for the work you continue to do in my life. I know that you are fully capable of completing what you have started in me. Thank you that your promises are yes and amen because you are not a man, so you can’t lie. Whatever you have spoken concerning me cannot be changed. From the ancient days, you are God; when you act, who can reverse it? I confidently say that I am a child of God, I am chosen, God loves me, I am holy, I am the righteousness of God, I am sanctified, I am redeemed, I am justified, and consecrated for service to God. My body is the temple of the living God, and it is in Him that I live, move, and have my existence.

I have been set free from sin, and I am now a slave to righteousness. I have the power to live above sin, so it no longer has control over me, nor does it rule this mortal body. I have been washed in the blood of Jesus and set apart for good works. Even if I slip and sin, I have an advocate, Jesus Christ, who pleads my case to the Father, who is faithful and just to forgive me and cleanse me of all unrighteousness. I am therefore not condemned by God. I am alive in Christ, and I walk after the Spirit and not after the flesh. I am a new creation because of Jesus Christ, and He can keep me from falling away from His body and will present me faultless before the presence of His glory on the last day. I wait in great anticipation for his return when I will receive my crown of righteousness.

I walk in victory, and I will never be defeated. The angel of the Lord encampeth around me because I fear God. The Lord is my protector; what can man do to me? I lay down in peace, and I rise in safety because the Lord is watching over me. I will never be put to shame because I trust in the one true God. I am seated with Christ in heavenly places. I have the power to tread upon serpents and scorpions and over all the powers of the enemy. I have the authority to loose and bind on earth according to the will of God. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is living on the inside of me. I have received a kingdom that cannot be shaken or destroyed. I am a force to be reckoned with because I am anointed and appointed by the one true God. My purpose is bigger than me; the gifts of the Holy Spirit are within me. I am blessed with every spiritual blessing, and God highly favors me. Goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

I will never go hungry, and my seed will never go begging for bread because I walk in righteousness. Lord, I seek you and your righteousness first in my life, so I am confident that you will provide for me.  I walk in obedience so I will prosper. You will honor me because I honor you. I will experience your goodness while I am in the land of the living. Even if I experience lack, I know that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. All things, whether positive or negative, work for my good. Even my present sufferings are working for me, an eternal weight of glory that far outweighs them. The fruit of the Spirit flows from me – love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. I live in happiness, and I will testify of God’s faithfulness continually. I will bless Him at all times, and His praise shall forever be on my lips. I will not keep silent, but I will sing of His mighty works. His peace, which surpasses all understanding, will continually rest on me.

Father, I commit every area of my life to your good pleasure, and I declare all these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

  1. This prayer of affirmation is very helpful as it is scriptural and awakens the realisation of God’s Spirit living in us. Alleluia!!!
