“No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors to give them.“ Joshua 1:5-6
I will proclaim your name, oh Lord. You are my rock and your works are perfect. You are a faithful God who does no wrong; You are always upright and just. Not one of your promises have failed. From eternity to eternity you are God and no one can undo what you have done.
Lord, fill me with courage to take hold of what you have promised. I pray that like Joshua, I will not walk in defeat, but that I will prevail over the enemy and possess the land. In the same way that you led Joshua in battle, I submit to your leadership. I know that my success is not determined by my abilities and strength, but by your power, so help me to not complain about my challenges. Regardless of the size of the enemy, help me to hold fast to your promises. Lord, help me exercise faith despite giant circumstances, because if you are for me, who can stand against me?
I believe that every Jericho wall will crumble as I walk in obedience and faith. I declare that I am not a grasshopper! I will see the enemy through the lens of your power and promise. As Joshua rightfully said, “They are bread for us, we’ll eat them up. God is with us”. Abba Father, please help me to respond to your instructions swiftly and boldly, and may I never deviate from them to do things my way.
As you did in the life of Joshua, I also believe that I will overcome every obstacle through faith in you. Your favor and approval are also upon me. Until I draw my last breath, I will trust in you, and I will encourage others to do the same. I will live to see all that you promised. I too am a warrior; I am strong and courageous, and I will not be afraid. I will live by faith, obedience, and courage. I will put you first in all my affairs and your words will not depart from my mouth. As with Joshua, my life will be prosperous and I will have good success as I obey your commands. I will serve my leaders faithfully and with humility. I will intercede for others and live unselfishly. I won’t be deceived by enemies pretending to be friends, and my battle strategies will be effective. I’lll always try to see the bright side of things and focus on your promises. By the grace of God I will live a purposeful life, because I choose to serve the Lord, God Almighty. Amen!
