July: Prayer Based on the Story of ESTHER

Esther 4:14b “And who knows whether you have come to the Kingdom for such a time as this?”

Lord, I pray for courage like Esther to do what you require, no matter the consequences and inspite of fear. In times of adversity, I pray for strength and valor. I pray for a “if I perish, I perish” mindset. I pray for patience so that I can act prayerfully rather than responding based on my own wisdom. Lord, fill me with wisdom and guide my decisions and actions to achieve your purpose on earth. May I always turn to you and seek you in every situation. Whenever I face a challenge, I pray for inspiration on how to overcome it. May I never forget that my decisions and actions can affect generations.

Adonai, it is my prayer that I will always recognize your divine providence in my life – that nothing happens by chance, but that all things work together to accomplish your purpose. In the same way that you placed Mordecai in Esther’s life to remind her of your divine providence and to challenge her to step out in faith, I ask that you place Mordecais in my life to remind me of your divine providence and challenge me to be bold and step out in faith. Lord, I pray that I will be clothed in humility. I pray that my inward beauty will always shine through, and that I will use my position of authority or influence wisely and honorably. Lord, I pray against the Haman spirit. May I be free from greed, anger, deception, insecurity, arrogance, and pride. Also, I pray that every Haman that has set out to destroy me, my family, or my purpose, be brought to nothing in Jesus’ matchless name.

Lord, I won’t run from my purpose! I submit to your will for my life. I am available to be used by you. Help me to be a person of action. When I recognize my calling or assignment, may I be decisive and ready to act! Help me to be willing to undergo periods of preparation and training before I achieve success. I trust that you have a plan for every season and place in which I find myself. Lord, I trust that you will uplift and give courage to the faithful, and preserve those who hope in you. Thank you raising me up for such a time as this. Amen
