Colossians 3:13 Bear with one another; if anyone has a complaint against someone else, forgive him. Indeed, just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you must forgive.
Holy Creator and Father, I present my emotions before you, and I pray that you set me free from the spirit of offense. Lord, help me not hold grudges, or harbor ill feelings and thoughts towards those who have hurt or insulted me. Please empower me to forgive and love unconditionally as you love me. Teach me not to cling to negative words or nurse my offenses until they grow into something deeper. Help me recognize misunderstandings and unintended offenses, and give me the wisdom, strength, and maturity to deal with these situations and move forward. Lord, I pray that offense will not harden my heart, but I will demonstrate love and kindness to all those who have wronged me. In Jesus Name, Amen.
